A well-trained hunting dog is priceless to an avid hunter.   The unquestioning loyalty of a hunting dog and a compassionate master create memories for a lifetime.  From the puppy years and the first bird, to the twilight years of decline, a bird dog deserves respect.

Handmade the American Way is proud to offer hand-carved hunting dog urns for beloved hunting dogs.  These hunting dog urns are "one of a kind" ring-necked pheasants, original art work, designed to be functional and collectible. Nothing on the market is comparable.  No two pheasants are exactly alike!  Each pheasant is individually hand-carved and painted with quality oil paints by Dan Robidoux,  founder of Handmade the American Way.

On the base of each hunting dog urn is a 2 1/2" inlaid wood base cap, secured with three brass screws to allow access to the hollow interior of the urn.  Simply detach the base cap and pour in the cremains.  Unless otherwise stated each urn is large enough to accept the cremains of a single (approximately 65 lbs) dog.  Each urn also comes with four small polyurethane bags to allow the hunting dog urn to hold partial cremains of multiple dogs.  Each bag has a white blocked area that can be written on to identify the specific cremains or to express a precious thought.

These urns are unique. The color and design will draw attention and provide an opportunity to tell adventure stories of years gone by. These hunting dog urns become heirlooms because of their artistic beauty and compatibility with the decor of any office, den or hunting lodge.

I keep a small inventory of urns for immediate shipment.  I will email you a photograph of the exact urn you will be receiving prior to shipping for your approval.  Occasionally I am out of inventory and in such case you will be notified that your urn will arrive in  4-6 weeks. I will still send you a photo of your urn prior to shipping for your approval.  Shipping is expensive. Each bird is professionally packed and insured.  I want your  urn to  arrive safely and meet your expectations.
